Caregiver Resources

Caregiving: More than 44 million Americans are responsible for the care of a family member or friend. This site provides access to an extensive toolkit filled with interactive features, such as expert videos, calculators, and worksheets, into a one-stop shop for the information you need to care for the one you love.

The Caregivers Advisory Panel
: Their mission is to confidentially collect, quantify and interpret facts, opinions and needs of family caregivers, professionals and those who use products to care for others or for themselves in a way that enables healthcare product manufacturers, service providers and policy makers to gain insight for their decision making that will drive improvement of products, services, and programs.

Caregiver's Home Companion:  The website is designed as a 'home' to help you make important care decisions with informative articles and resources, including personal advice from the Board of Experts. There is also a community feature where you can share feelings and tips, ask advice, and meet other caregivers.

Carergivers' Resources: Official information and services from the U.S. government.

Caregivingblog.com: This blog covers two key topics: caregiving and caregiver stress. It offers many resources and stories.

Caregivers Library: This library consists of hundreds of articles, forms, checklists and links to topic-specific external resources. It is organized into 18 caregiver resource categories.

The Compassionate Caregiver
: This holistic site offers tools and support for the caregiving journey. You can read other caregiver's stories, find ways to relax, see what's going on with the community, and learn helpful caregiving tips. The site is predominately, but not exclusively, for caregivers of cancer patients.

The Kenneth B. Schwartz Center
: The mission is to support and advance compassionate health care in which caregivers, patients, and their families relate to one another in a way that provides hope to the patient.

Today's Caregiver: The mission is to enable the more than 54 million caregivers to make the best possible healthcare decisions for their clients, family and friends by providing them with the most reliable and comprehensive information, advice and support.

Family Caregiver Alliance: Founded in 1977, the FCA was the first community-based nonprofit organization in the country to address the needs of families and friends providing long-term care at home. FCA now offers programs at national, state and local levels to support and sustain caregivers.

National Family Caregivers Association: The NFCA supports, empowers and speaks up for the more than 50 million Americans who care for loved ones with chronic illness or disability or the frailities of old age. The organization reaches across the boundaries of diagnoses, relationships and life stages to help transform family caregivers' lives by removing barriers to health and well being.
